Exclusively designed for Jetstar Singapore passengers, Jetstar Travel Insurance provides you protection from unexpected events during your trip. This Policy is protected under the Policy Owners' Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). When does my cover commence?

Jetstar Travel Insurance coverage begins upon check-in for Jetstar departure flights from Singapore and ends upon the return to Singapore. One-Way Trip coverage is valid whilst you are overseas for up to i) 5 days from Travel Commencement Date for Area 1, ii) 7 days from Travel Commencement Date for Area 2. Note that the Trip Cancellation Benefit is effective 30 days before the original departure date.

Who is eligible for Jetstar Travel Insurance?

To be eligible for Jetstar Travel Insurance you must be:

  • Between 2 and 70 years old
  • Travelling from Singapore
  • Singapore Resident
  • Travelling for 30 days or less

What if I have a pre-existing medical condition?

Jetstar Travel Insurance can be purchased even if you have a pre-existing condition. However, the policy will not cover the specific pre-existing condition of the Insured although they can continue to fully enjoy the other benefits included.

A Pre-Existing Medical Condition shall mean any condition for which the Insured Person received medical treatment, diagnosis, consultation or prescribed drugs within a 12-month period preceding the effective date of the Policy; or for which medical advice or treatment was recommended by a Medical Practitioner within a 12-month period preceding the effective date of the Policy.

Can I make changes to my Jetstar Travel Insurance Policy?

Your Jetstar Travel Insurance allows for non-financial changes to your policy made in conjunction with a change to your Jetstar itinerary. This rule applies for changes made before or during your trip.

Please notify AIG with your itinerary change by sending us an e-mail at with your Policy Number, Name, Original Travel Dates/Duration and Amended Travel Dates/Duration.

Note that:

  • If you are shortening your trip, Jetstar Travel Insurance will not provide you any refunds to differences in premium.
  • If you are extending your trip, Jetstar Travel Insurance will only cover you up to the maximum duration in respect of the original date band for which you purchased your policy.

Yes! We allow for policy cancellation as long as the request to do so is made prior to your departure date.

How does Jetstar Travel Insurance pay for my overseas medical expenses?

AIG will directly reimburse you for any covered medical expenses abroad. Please make sure you keep the original copies of your receipts when you return to Singapore to make processing of your refund easier.
